Orange:
“AILIS!!!!!” his screech of distress could be heard throughout the house, waking Jaden from his Sunday afternoon nap. He sat upright in bed, waiting to see if he was needed to solve any major dispute. As a parent, he knew that sometimes children had to solve their own squabbles, but it never hurt to be ready to intervene as necessary.
“Ailis, I am going to KILL you!”
“I sorry, Nicky. Really I am.” A laugh.
“What did you do to my HA-IR!??” His voice cracked halfway through the high-pitched word.
“What? I though you would like to be strawberry blonde.”
“You turned my hair ORANGE, Ailis!” Jaden laughed at his nephew’s predicament. Orange hair, Ailis? Jaden gave another chuckle as he laid back down to rest.
“What is wrong with strawberry--?”
“IT IS ORANGE AND I AM GOING TO KILL YOU.”
Jaden groaned. It was going to be a long long week if the dye had been permanent.
