so this is the new year...
Jan. 3rd, 2010 12:22 amsame old, same old here. school and work start back next week. hopefully i'll get the Webstarr over to the house to take care of mom while i go shopping and basically waste all the money that i should save for trips and parties.
parties!! i am having a grad party this year. because, dammit, i really really want to have a party. must save money for that though. so hopefully will hold out 1K from scholarship funds (hahah, funny), and then supplement with at least 500 more over the course of the semester. preferably much more than that, so i'll have to get back on the supplemental jobs tick.
not that i'll have much free time. ugh. i think i'm gonna drop that one online class and just take clep tests. i should be able to wing it on stuff, right?? or take something during may and thus cover all my bases. yis.
in other news, watching doctor who makes me cry. it's the way he says "i don't wanna go!" that touches me. i keep hearing it in my head and it's HEARTWRENCHING. still out on the verdict for Eleven, though. i don't particularly care for his face, although he's a pretty decent mashup of Nine and Ten. Ten's hair, Nine's face. plus the crack in his voice. :D Geronimo? not a catchy phrase though. but!! how about that tie in with Torchwood?? ( cut for spoiler? maybe )
um. it's absobloodylutely cold here. well, as cold as louisville gets. supposed to get to 9 tonight, wind chill already around 3. my room's not insulated, nor is there any heating ducts. have whipped out the sleeping bag and several blankets, as well as heavy sweats, thermal shirts and socks. while i won't be totally toasty, at least the cold will be knocked off.
spent today sleeping, again. not good for my health, but there you have it. also helped my dad cook enough party food (chicken, meatballs, dip) for about 30 people... in order to feed the 5 people in the house watching the game between UofL and UK. the game blew. UK shoulda lost one player because he totally elbowed a UofL player in the head on purpose. why my UofL boys couldn't get their act back together, i dunno. i wish they had. but. you know. whatever. i'm kinda used to sore losers trying to damage my team. (case in point: Elvis Dumervil's leg getting stomped on at the 06 Gator Bowl, and Michael Bush during the 06 game against UK, etc)
