Something you might want to consider is a place like "La Muse Inn" in Southern France. I just learned about them this past month. They offer writer's retreats for between 1500 & 2500 pounds for three weeks. Now I know that is expensive, but here is the part that I am seriously intrigued by, they offer fellowships. If you are a writer, it is a dream come true!
