Jul. 30th, 2007 02:18 ambefore i go any further in watching season 3 of SGA, may i just say that i'm a sucker for socially inept men who give up everything for who they love?
ryan, from the oc.
dean, from supernatural. (admit it. he's a family man, a hunter, but not a guy you go out for drinks with. all that promiscuity is hiding the real guy.)
and now, john sheppard from sga.
why?? cause i just... my heart gave a little flutter when he's sitting there, mid-gearing up for the rescue attempt for ronon, and he's talking to teyla. and just... not being able to discuss feelings or his inability to have friends. i mean... just that he's willing to give up his life for his team and weir because they're the closest to family he's got...
*smooshes him*
dead seriously, i just squealed and my heart fluttered and i wanted to hold him and tell him that it'd be ok. he'd find ronon, and that he wasn't alone. and that talking about feelings is overrated when it's understood. it's not the text that matters so much as the subtext. and i'd love for him to save me anytime.
aww... i'm such a sucker for the socially challenged romantic hero. the family man who doesn't quite fit into society, but loves and is loved.
