day 4, nablopomo. WC: 171
Nov. 4th, 2008 10:44 amwelcome to election day.
and no, i don't vote.
the reason? because if i were to count up the number of promises made by the candidates and then compare that to the number of promises kept, i'd be disappointed.
the reason? because i have my faith, small as it is, and i think that there's a better solution on the horizon. i'm not forcing it on anyone (you can listen or you can choose not to, that's all you), despite how you view JWs.
i don't vote for the same reason i don't believe in hell, or that i'm going to heaven, or that my actions don't have consequences.
despite my not voting, i'll still pay my taxes. follow the laws within as much the bounds as is right. 4 years (8 years) makes no lasting changes...
so... go vote for whoever you desire. make change. be a maverick. for such a historic day, someone should see the world become what it's meant to be.
but no, i don't vote.
