Nov. 25th, 2008 06:04 pmok. i'm trying really hard not to speak too soon. but i just checked my email, posted two comment replies and so far, so good.
my internet? she is back up. i dunno. my computer's shit. i think my getting pissed at it, slamming around on it a bit and just letting it sit running (post- system restore) helped it finally come to grips with yes, it does have a wireless card. and yes, it can run. jesus christ. stop being such a piece of shit.
i'm trying not to jostle it, or treat it rough. i'm leaving it running for a while and hopefully that'll do some good.
in the meantime and inbetween time, i'm still gonna look at getting a new computer. this one's too unreliable. then, once i do so, plus with added external hard drive, i'll wipe this one and give it to my granny. she'll appreciate it. all she wants is a word processor, some research tools, and a printer. i'm giving her added music storage and internet capabilities. win/win, yes?
*prays* please don't fuck up on me, computer. it's finals week coming up, plus a 5 day weekend. what the hell am i supposed to do without the internet?
