um. so. went to indy for MLK Jr weekend. was gonna stay friday night to monday, but got a call late saturday that my dad had delirious fevers so come home?? which was ok, since i felt like shit anyway. 2 hour ride turns into 3 when i have to stop 20 miles in for an hour nap. huh. shoulda realized i was really sick.
came home. stayed in bed all day sunday and all day monday. went to acute care tuesday morning. hey. i've got pneumonia.
go to the er, get admitted by 1 in the morning. am stuck in the hospital til saturday for FLUMONIA. that is, pneumonia with (possibly swine) flu complications. fyi: needles and ivs suck, as does hospital food and cable. the only redeeming factor was having a bathroom within a few feet of my bed.
so. they decided i'm cured of the flu part (tamiflu for at least 2 days after leaving), and that i can recover from the 'monia part at home. young folks and their hearty immune systems and whatnot. ha ha.
so. had the death. am getting better. hated being in the hospital. the end.
