totally freezy right now. (i know that's not a word. jeez. i'm tired and can't be bothered. if i could be bothered, i'd capitalize my letters, wouldn't i?) i love air conditioning, but not when i got a cramp in my leg this morning and not when i don't have a sweater and not when i need a nap really badly and i'm stuck at work.

i've been rambling on [livejournal.com profile] shadows_of about how i'm working on my site and getting myself together, blah blah blah. i am. really. just right now i'm sorta... out of it. i will eventually be all gravy and posting stuff up, but whatever. i'm just gonna keep doing whatever it is that makes sure i don't go completely crazy (that probably involves a lot of stuff here, but what can i say).

gah. just so you know, this is not going the way i wanted it to go. my funny is on vacation and i'm cold and tired and i can't be bothered with much.

so here's what i'm gonna do. i'm gonna go ahead and say that my plans are to be out of the country next summer again and go to paris and scotland. you guys are welcome to "bump into me" as soon as i get my schedule down. you guys will be (if not first then) really high on my "need to know" list. trust.

until then, i feel shitty. hope your day is better.

I went to check out your site and I am looking forward to reading your work. I think that there should be more writers in the world. I used to be quite prolific but I just don't have the time between school and work and well... everything these days. *sigh* I haven't had a lot of writer friends to help motivate me either. I keep trying to set up some sort of writer's group, but no luck so far.
But enough of the bitching and moaning. *lol*

I like being not hot but air conditioning when it is running fool blast just makes me feel ill. It is just so damn artificial. I much prefere cooler weather and since we have hit the summer heat big time here in California, it is going to be quite some time off.

Sorry your day is sucking. :( Hopefully it will be over soon and you can invest in some serious relaxation and downtime tonight.

Take care!

KG

sorry i'm just getting back to this.

thank you so much for checking out my site! i get visitors to it, but no one really tells me anything on it. i know what i'ts like to get hung up on everything. that's why i had large gaps between things. like going 9 months without writing anything. seriously. or having writer's block on a story for about 3 years.

if you want to get back into writing, [livejournal.com profile] 15minuteficlets and [livejournal.com profile] cues are my preferred prompting sites. they start your creative juices flowing. granted, they aren't updated as much as they oughta be... but they try. and there's at least a year and a half's prompts in cues that could get you going.

speaking of the heat, 3rd day in a row that we've had almost 100 degree heat index. we only just recently turned on the a/c in the house... last minute holdouts. but just when we think it's time to turn it on, it rains really hard and cools it all down by about 10-20 degrees. *sigh* i don't get the weather. i'm all for moving to alaska. or, at least, canada.

but! things are beginning to look up. and eventually there will be relaxation and recreation and all kinds of goodness. *counts down days*

Wherabouts do you live?

Here in Sacramento we have 100+ degree weather all Summer long. Luckily we didn't get right into it like we usually do. But we are now officially in the unbearable heat. *argh* It's got to be like 105 out there right now. I keep asking myself why oh why do I actively choose to live here?

Thank you for the tips. I will look them up. I really do need to devote some time to my craft.

Love the name for your site, how did you come to name it that? (I am a big Shakespeare fan, and she is my favorite female character from his plays)

I need to get computer savvy enough to start my own site, not only for my fiction/poetry but so that I can work on my education writings in there.

i'm in kentucky, louisville to be exact. we've steadily been getting hotter.... we're not used to it. or, i'm not. last summer it got to 100+ in no time at all.... and i spent the summer in 60-75 degree england. it was a lot better than here, i tell you. california scares me... cause i would literally melt. totally.

i love ophelia too... and i got introduced to lj and stuff like that my junior year... really it's supposed to be drowning!Ophelia (which was something i got from some friends who described their cousin!Kate to distinguish from friend!Kate. and things like that. it just struck me that ophelia was very struck by her surroundings and this was something that connected with me. that whole feeling of barely keeping your head above water, but still letting yourself go. (i'm still working through the muddle of my head, but it strikes something in me.... i'm not sure what exactly, but it does.)

i suggest freeservers.com for your site. cause you can personalize it up to a point, and then you can fill in html links and upload documents and then use some of the html you use for lj (the carats and how to bold, italicize, etc...).
